Hello Kitty Orange Tee
Another Doe shirt. I love this shirt because it's a v-neck and it has classic Hello Kitty and yet again she is sporting her jumper as well as her apples with the classic saying "I'm as heavy as three apples" which as I have mentioned before any Hello Kitty fan will know what that means. I love this shirt because it is adorable and it is such a classic Hello Kitty tee and I love wearing this with shorts in the summer or a pair of jeans just hanging out.

Day 26
Hello Kitty French Angel Pencil Case
I got this right before my first year of middle school, I loved it because it matched the whole set. I also have/had the matching pen/pencil which I know is somewhere in room. I love the colors and the small message in French which I have vaguely translated and I will be posting and actual translation for on here soon, I won't let my bad French ruin what it may actually mean. But it's cute and it's nifty to keep stuff in when I need it.

Day 25
Pinki Lili Pen
A lot of people may not remember little Pinki Lili and I have to say even I kind of forgot about this cute little bear. I found this pen yesterday while I was digging around my closet and cleaning it, it was inside a bookbag from when I younger. The pen is an adorable shade of pink and little Pinki Lili is on the side on the front of a glitter filled background. It hasn't worked in a long time, but I don't mind I love having the pen and I love that I got the pen on one of those trips to Sanrio before school started and I remember using this pen a lot in middle school.

Day 24
Pochacco Magnet
Again another item from a Sanrio Surprise bag, this is magnet has been on my fridge for years. Somewhere in it's early years of me having it fell from the fridge and cracked it, I was so upset and my mother glued it back together for me. The magnet has been on my fridge for a long time now and I love it because it's little Pochacco on roller skates on a small background of colorful circles. I plan to keep this magnet for years to come and I love using it still.

Hello Kitty & Friends Notebook
I have no idea how I got this little notebook, but it has been put away in a bag in one of the spare rooms here at home. I am going to assume it came in my bag after a purchase and I never used it, but I carried it around. I love having it now especially since we are celebrating Hello Kitty's anniversary and we see these characters making a comeback. It reminds me that it is not all about Hello Kitty it is about her and her friends as well, and in recent years I feel like we have forgotten that about Hello Kitty.

Day 22
Hello Kitty Rainboots
I got these for Christmas this year and I am absolutely in love with them, I am from a state where it rains a lot so these are the most useful gift I have ever gotten. I have also been wanting a new pair of rainboots since mine are very plain and well I haven't done much to change them. They are simple yet attention grabbing, I love the fact that they have HK's face right on the side of the leg and they really catch the eye. They are a whole size too big, but it doesn't bother me it's nothing that 2 pairs of socks can't fix and I don't mind wearing. I got them from the local Sears by my house, they have a bunch of different designs avaliable so if you aren't into the plain look like I am, you can get a bunch of different things (The link is at the bottom like always). I love them and I sport them proudly.

Hello Kitty Key Chain
This little beauty hangs out on my keys everyday and I get to see it everytime I use my keys, yet again this came in a surprise bag. But the difference between this and some of the other surprise bag items I have gotten this surprise bag is one I received for my birthday when I was little, it was part of the largest bag I had ever seen given to me. I love this key chain because I have had it for years and when I was younger I would hang it on my backpack and for a while I kept my house key on it, though right now it hands on my car keys and it's how I find my keys in my purse, the weight makes a difference.

Hello Kitty Bumblebee Plush
Another find from yesterday while I was digging around the spare room, this is a Hello Kitty plush from one of those many mall trips as a child to Sanrio like the other one's. This little bean filled plushie has a cute little bee costume on and she is just adorable. And like much of my other Sanrio toys she has good memories filled with her, I remember she would sleep on the bed post of my bed when I was younger and well as you can see she is kind of dingy because I would take her different places with me. A lot of my Sanrio toys have good memories attached to them and this one is no exception.

Chococat Plush
I shall celebrate a lucky find today in my spare room at home, a Chococat plush. I was digging through my old toys and I found him! I was so excited to find because I loved this plush as a kid, it's an adorable Chococat with his little orange fish and he's super soft. I got him on one of my trips to the Sanrio store while I was with my great aunt and I loved getting gift from her, to this day it means so much I have him and I am kind of sad I found him in a bag in the spare room. Well after today he'll get to hang out in my room with the rest of the plushies I adore!

Hello Kitty x Tokidoki
Hello Kitty Cell Phone Charm Japan Exclusive
Here I go again with the Tokidoki stuff, I adore Tokidoki and when he did his collaboration with Hello Kitty I was so excited. So this piece was given to me by my godmom when she went to Japan, it was in her homemade surprise bag for me. I love her she is dressed in a little candy costume, which is a signature of Tokidoki's designs. I have never used it in my room as decoration still in it's original case because it is so rare you never see it anywhere. So I have opted to keep it in my room and not use it, it is probably the best choice I have made.

I love this little thing, it is adorable and the colors are so fun. This is one of the few things I own that features Pikki his sister, and the colors are great. It is the traditional green, red pink, and purple, it's just great. I love the little notes because they are great to leave yourself reminders or just to write fun little notes. I never used it as a kid, and I kind of glad I never did because I have it now. Day 15
Pink Spottie Dottie malt shop pencil tin
I have had this tin for a really long time now, and I used to love to keep all my stuff in it when I was in grade school. Now as an adult I am realizing that having little tin is something that matters a lot because how often do you walk into a Sanrio store anymore and see Spottie Dottie or any of HK's friends anymore? Very rarely and I always loved her friends, to me Sanrio isn't just about the kitty but it's about Badtz Maru, Spottie Dottie, Pochacco, My Melody, and so forth. So to see that right now Sanrio is not having as many of them in my local store I feel kind of special to have these little things. So the tin means a lot in that sense, but I like the colors because it is pink with blues and it's just adorable. The tin was something I bought during school shopping when I was younger and I have kept it up until now. I have always loved that it has a top and bottom section because I always kept my erasers and pencils seperate as well as my pens so it allowed me to do that. I up until recently had been keeping markers in it, and right now I haven't been using it for much except storing a few items for the challenge that were too small to be loose.

Hello Kitty x Loungefly handbag
I just got this the other day, and yet again it is loungefly. I had to get this bag from the local Amuse store after my Hello Kitty face bag began to unstitch (I'll post both links). Well I found this bag on display and I just had to have it when I saw it, because it is the Hello Kitty I remember from my childhood. It is the Hello Kitty in her jumper and well with her apples. Which if you are a true Hello Kitty fanatic, you'll know that Hello Kitty's weight and height are calculated with three apples. Which I love that she is in her true little jumper, it's how I have always remembered this cat. I also love the fact that the inside of the bag is lined in blue fabric with her iconic red bow, which makes me love this bag even more! The bag is 65 dollars on the Loungefly website. The other bag I had which is the second link, is 60 dollars.

We have all had Hello Kitty stickers it is probably the most fun thing we can have with HK's face, we can stick them to walls, to our notebooks, to books, desks, and so much more. I like most of my tiny little gifts from Hello Kitty, this came from a surprise bag of course. I love this little sticker book because as a child I would carry it with me to school and add more stickers to it, and I would trade stickers with people. But I would never trade my Hello Kitty stickers of course, just my other stickers.

Hello Kitty Winter Head band
I have had this thing for many years, it's been with me up the Eastern seaboard of the US and as far North as Canada. It's kind of funky and different, I found it at a Sanrio store when I was 9 and I just had to have it. My mom actually picked it out then and now she picked it out again to write about so that also makes it special. I love the material because it keeps my ears warm and well the Hello Kitty + the colors make it all the better for me. I love this and I plan to wear it again once I go skiing or snowboarding, because it just needs to in my hair again.

Keroppi Tin
So the first 10 days belonged to the pretty little kitty and today it's Keroppi's turn. This tin was from a Surprise bag I got as a child on one of those trips to the Sanrio store and of course I loved Surprise bags. For one price you could get so many little trinkets and things, and it was a surprise, what kid doesn't like surprises? I know I sure as hell did. I love the little tin because it is just adorable and I love the look of it, it's simple but fun. Keroppi was also a favorite as a kid because I loved frogs as much as I did love the cat, but Keroppi was a favorite and this tin was such a score for me. As a kid I would keep my little 'treasures' in there, now I just keep random things in there. I love tins because they are just so functional.

Hello Kitty dressed as a baby mini plush
I got this little cutie in a one of those ball looking things you get in quater machine at like the supermarket, except this one I got from the Sanrio store. I think she is adorable and I love her, she is dressed in baby pink and she is just the cutest. Like the Hello Kitty plush with the vinyl feet she hangs from my closet door and I love seeing her hanging there with her buddy. I don't really have much to say except that she is iconic Hello Kitty cute and well like most HK gifts she is small but brings a huge smile to my face.

Hello Kitty hanging plush
In keeping with my trip down memory lane, this Hello Kitty plush is from my childhood just like yesterday's jungle toy. I love this toy because she is in classic overalls and instead of wearing a bow she has on a flower, which makes her have this cute little country look. Her feet are different than any other Hello Kitty toy I have ever owned she has these vinyl feet and I don't really understand why the company did this, but it makes her different. I can't really remember if I had this toy from a surprise bag since I got a giant one as a kid or if this was an indiviual toy. I just know I love and I love seeing her everytime I look back from my bed. I wish her string was a bit longer because I would hang her from my rearview mirror and show her off to everyone, but alas she just hangs out in my room on my closet door.

Hello Kitty Jungle Adventure Toy
Some of the best memories I have are of my trips to the mall with my great aunt, who would take me to the Sanrio store. She would always let me pick out one thing or a surprise bag, and I would usually go home content with my Hello Kitty stuff from the store. I have of course kept most of these toys and one of my favorites sits on my dresser and I am greeted by her. It's Hello Kitty in her safari outfit and I just love her, she is super cute and is just everything that Hello Kitty stands for "Small gift, big smile" something that I know the company has been living up to since 1976. Enjoy this little beauty because she is one of my favorites and always will be.

Probably one of the biggest collabs in the history of the cats life. Loungefly has been partnered with Hello Kitty for a while now and they are known for their key caps, earrings, bags and so forth. For me the key caps are probably my favorites because they are so whimsical without being bulky and they add a certain fun flair to your keys; they really show personality. I actually just got this dual set of key caps from a local store today (Amuse Miami) and I love them. I haven't even put them on my keys yet but I waited to show them off here first. I love their look and they are absolutly amazing, I love the one on the left she's my favorite. I have included the link for the loungefly store online where the caps are 9 dollars.

Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary Handbag
From the kitty's 35th anniversary collection, this is a Japan exclusive which I picked up at the Japan Pavillion at Epcot Center at the Walt Disney World resort. I like this bag a good amount and I sadly have not been able to use it, I think I am still looking for the right outfit, perhaps because of the busy bow pattern. Speaking of the bow pattern it is the colored pattern used for the 35th anniversary each color meant different things they used red, lavender, yellow, and pink. The classic red represents friendship, while the other colors represent the following pink for cute, yellow for heartful, green for wish and lavender for sweet. All the colors were represented on her iconic bow, which I adore. My iphone case (day 2) has the same pattern all over it. Sorry I look so horrible in the photo I was working all day today and I am exhausted.

Hello Kitty x Zak
Hello Kitty has died! The kitty has gone zombie of course with her friends in this nice and dark water bottle. I love this bottle because it was a gift from my best friend this past Christmas and I think it suits me so well, especially since the bottle is BPA free and well the climbing clip is awesome for my bag. This bottle is from Hot Topic, and of course I found the pricing for it even though it is a gift from my friend but I had asked her where it came from for the purpose of this blog. I could care less if the bottle was 100 dollars or a dollar this is probably the best HK themed gift I have gotten in a long time and well I love that she is has gone zombie. The bottle is 9.99 at Hot Topic and it is currently unavaliable online.

This bottle is from Hot Topic, and of course I found the pricing for it even though it is a gift from my friend but I had asked her where it came from for the purpose of this blog. I could care less if the bottle was 100 dollars or a dollar this is probably the best HK themed gift I have gotten in a long time and well I love that she is has gone zombie. The bottle is 9.99 at Hot Topic and it is currently unavaliable online.

Hello Kitty Shirt from Spencers.
A gift from my secret santa at the college Newspaper gift exchange. I really like this shirt because Hello Kitty is just adorable in it, and well I love the fact that it is blue. I love the fact that the shirt is built from polaroids and that really says a lot about me being a photographer so my gift giver really does know me well. So thanks so much to Jillian the EIC at the college newspaper for this great thoughtful gift! Of course this being a gift I will not include a link or anything because it is a gift.

Hello Kitty Shirt from Forever 21
This shirt is old as heck. I bought this shirt back in 2007 right before a Halloween concert in my final year of High School. There isn't much I can say about this shirt, I really do love it because of the fact that it has crayon scribble all over it and well Hello Kitty is in her traditional jumper. I like the simplicity of the shirt so you can wear with jeans or a skirt just hanging out or going to class. Plus you can never go wrong with a Hello Kitty shirt right? (My apologies for the second photo being dark)

Hello Kitty x Tokidoki
Created for her 35th anniversary the cute cat teamed up with my favorite Italian designer Tokidoki AKA Simone Legno. This designer creates Japanese inspired art in a whimiscal world that is adorable as well beautiful in some cases. My favorite creation of his is the Hello Kitty line and I was lucky enough to snag an iPhone 3G/3Gs case for my phone, like my first post this was a gift from the Sanrio store in L.A. from my mother last Christmas and I think it's one of the more fun items I have of Hello Kitty. It has Hello Kitty pictured with the Tokidoki characters and of course the signature Hello Kitty bow in several different colors which was the theming used for the 35th anniversary. I have a HK x Tokidoki theme for my iPhone background (not pictured here). There isn't too much I can say about this item except that I love that it is a limited edition piece and I don't know many people who have it, so I feel lucky to have it. The item is no longer for sale at Tokidoki but I have included for the HK line at Tokidoki since there are tons of cute stuff still left!

Tarina Tarantino x Hello Kitty Day 1
Tarina Tarantino in 2007 teamed up with Hello Kitty to create her pinkhead and Lolita line. The line was probably one of my favorites in the collection and I last year got a great gift from my mother, she bought me the Hello Kitty pinkhead necklace from the Sanrio store in L.A. for Christmas 2009 and I am happy it's my first post. Few retailers carry the line anymore and it makes me sad but it is my favorite line she has created since her Barbie Mod line back in 05/06. But the necklace is still for sale on Tarina's website for 70 dollars plus other items she has created for the line.

Already off to a bad start
Well it seems that I am five days late already in starting this blog, but I started the new year with a cold and on a plane coming in from Michigan. By the time I got home I was ready to just sleep off the cold and not bother to start this blog. But I should explain why I am starting this blog, why it dawned on me to begin such a crazy mission of 365 days of Hello Kitty. It also came out of the challenge that my mother doesn't think that I own 365 Hello Kitty and friends items, but I tend to believe I do.
Hello Kitty is a life long obsession for me, I have had the kitty in my life since I was young. I would go into the Sanrio store and buy small things and on occasion I would get the surprise bag and see what I would come up with. The small moutless cat has always been in and around my life and while most thought I would out grow the obsession I think it has only gotten worse, I think I have only gotten more obsessed and I find that the kitty has gotten just as cosmopolitan as I have. I am glad to have her in my life and I have found that she has made it easier for me to make friends to branch out and meet people. Now I'm not saying that my friends are only Hello Kitty obsessed but I have found friends who love it just as much as I do. I don't wear Hello Kitty head to toe, but she does make it into my daily life everyday, especially since I have several Hello Kitty themed items on my keys, cell phone, and so forth. She is always there an omnipotent force. It's very simple Hello Kitty is a huge force in my life and she probably always will be, and I hope to have girls so I can give them my Hello Kitty stuff. It's as simple as that and there isn't much more I can say about this, but really to get started after being 5 days late.
I will also be keeping a video blog of my items and photographing them as well. For these past five days I will have to chunk them together but from here on I will be posting day by day, one must excuse the cold I had, which made it hard for me to concentrate. I will be posting the videos to my personal Youtube channel, which is the same as the email address I have opened for this account.
